Actors

I have been searching for suitable actors to play the lead role in the music video that I will be creating. I narrowed it down to a few people who I know; one being my friend Ryan Szram who I used last year for my AS Media task when I created the music magazine, Ryan's build is skinny and he is very small, in terms of linking this to the Kings of Leon video, it doesn't represent the correct type of build they would have in their videos, therefore I am worried about appointing Ryan as one of the actors. The second is a long time friend who did a music video last year who knows about the creation of the music video, he is a huge fan of Kings of Leon and really fits the appearance and style that we want for the music video. I am currently in the process of speaking to him about it to see if he is wants to do it. Myself and Nathan will be playing cameo roles along with other possible characters Alex and Ryan. Physically Alex is a regular build, very similar to those in the Kings of Leon videos, he is slim and average height which suits well. He has a clothing style that is also very similar to that of Kings of Leon.

Props

A spade will be used spade to show the ground being dug up to bury the belongings of the characters, it will be a silver or brown spade that will link into the peaceful background that will be very isolated and wintery, the spade will be an older rusty spade which will connote his feeling inside which is depressing and sad.

A lighter will also be used to light up the fire, connoting pain, anger and the end of something. The lighter is the catalyst to the fire and the ending of all the pain and suffering the character is going through, it represents a new start for the characther. The lighter will be an old cheap lighter which will be thrown into the fire as the character walks away.

I will be using a car to transport the character from one place to the other, so from the populated area to the deserted area which will connote a loneliness and isolation of the character. The car will be white fiat 500 which links well to the character being in his mid 20s as the car is connoted with youth. The white represents an emptiness which links to the characters feeling as he is upset and depressed, it also represents a blank page, a fresh start for the character who is trying to escape the past.

The bin that we will fill up with belongings and other stuff will be a dark sinister colour such as black to represent a darkness and pain, the colour black is very depressing and is connoted with death and funerals. The fire burning through it will represent the end, kind of like the character who is ending his current situation and is trying to start fresh in his life.
